G & L Electric Inc. is a family owned and operated electrical contracting firm. The original owner Charles Rogers started the company in 1974. He incorporated the company in 1979 changing the name from Charles W. Rogers electrical contracting to G & L Electric Inc. naming it after his two children Glenn & Lynn. Glenn started working full time at G & L in 1987 after College. He earned his electrical license in 1990 and a few years later took over running the company.
In an industry where electrical contractors come and go in just a few years, G & L Electric Inc. has been a reliable presence for decades. G & L Electric has been earning our clients' trust and keeping it since Charlie founded our company.
We are unlike most electrical contractors due to the wide scope of services we provide. We can provide turn key services starting with design. Keeping project costs and long term maintenance costs in mind we utilize energy efficient technology. We can also provide engineered drawings. During construction we use materials and labor saving products and techniques to ensure the project comes in on time and on budget.
Another reason we’ve been in business so long is forward-thinking. Experience doesn't mean we’re attached to old ideas. We’re in touch. Whether it’s the latest in installations or safety measures, we keep an eye on what’s next in our field.
Over the years we have provided our customers with our diverse knowledge of solutions to a wide array of projects. We have branched out from typical areas of electrical contracting to projects such as Solar systems, telephone, data and fiber optics, fire alarm systems (addressable and non addressable), home theater wiring, landscape lighting, emergency generators and UPS systems, and lightning protection. With our wide range of knowledge we are your one stop contractor for any of your electrical needs. With our many suppliers, trade contacts, associates and friends we can find, solve, remedy, and suggest solutions, to any of your questions or concerns.
We believe our best salesperson is a satisfied customer. Most of our business is repeat business and referrals. Our most important goal is to make sure the customer knows exactly what their options are. A well informed customer is a satisfied customer. Many contractors will look at a problem and tell the customer what they will do. We try to inform the customer and give them options based on their situation such as their short term vs. long term plans, and budget and time restraints.
There are companies out there that require their technicians to "up-sell" which simply put means they try to make you spend more money that what is required to repair the problem. Our technicians are not on commission nor do they get bonuses for up-selling, which sets us apart from the competition. |
